This time around, it's serious.  Oh, presidential elections always are, we'll grant you that, but our country's at a real crossroad these days, and the next election is going to have consequences that might last for decades, even longer.  So yes, this time around it's serious.

And yes, every voice counts, perhaps more than you know.  If you think your favorite blog sites are taking care of things, you're sadly mistaken.  Read 'Forget The Choir' and you'll realize that you, all by yourself, can do just as much good bringing the fence-sitters to your side of the voting booth as anyone.

As far as getting your voice out there, bear in mind that every single day some big league blogger links to some unknown, driving thousands of readers to his site, and if you're offering something bold or fresh or new, many of those people will bookmark the site and make it part of their daily routine.

The problem is, if you're using some generic, cookie-cutter site design, the visitors will figure you're not really 'serious' about the effort and won't give your words the attention they deserve.  As they say in the advertising biz, 'Packaging is everything.'

Our mission is to set you up with a sharp, snappy blog site, pass along some tips on how to sway voters to your side of the fence, and help you spread the word around and hopefully catch the eye of a few big league bloggers.  When you email that A-List blogger the link to your latest post and he clicks on it out of curiosity, we want the first words to enter his mind when he sees the site to be "Hey, nice!".  First impressions do count.

The actual process to get a blog site up and running is fairly easy.  You use a free program called FileZilla to copy a bunch of files to the web host, set some options and you're ready to roll.  The customized package you'll download from here includes all of the plugins and themes and support tools that would otherwise take days to dig up, and there's even a streaming video player and test video to play with.  You'll find the installation process somewhat intriguing, and the actual use of the WordPress editor a true delight.
